Welcome to the online home of the Obedience Training Club of Wichita Falls, Inc. Founded in 1973, OTCWF is a member club of the American Kennel Club. OTCWF offers five sessions of positive reinforcement, low-cost obedience training classes to the public annually. The classes are taught by our volunteer members who are accomplished competitors. OTCWF actively promotes responsible dog ownership and offers therapy dog preparation as well.
OTCWF welcomes all dog owners and all ages and breeds of dogs, with the exception of wolf hybrids to our classes.
All OTCWF classes are held at our dedicated training facility just outside of Wichita Falls in a peaceful country setting. Our facility at 974 Springlake Road has three large climate-controlled training rooms, covered with rubber matting, one of which has floor to ceiling mirrors. It also has a collar/leash sales and fitting room, kitchen, restrooms and storage/utility closets.
Outdoors, there are three securely fenced and lighted agility training fields which are well maintained and safe. OTCWF also features off-road safe parking for vehicles.
In addition, OTCWF annually conducts performance trials sanctioned by American Kennel Club. Currently OTCWF offers nine agility trials and three obedience and rally trials at the Multi-Purpose Event Center (MPEC) in Wichita Falls, Texas
OTCWF holds a monthly club meeting the third Thursday of most months. The meetings are at the Club Building at 974 Springlake Road, Wichita Falls, TX. They begin at 6:30 pm, usually with a pot-luck supper. The business meeting begins at 7:00 pm and is followed by a short program. If you would like to attend, visitors are always welcome.
